There is a very useful guide about how to navigate the event chain. I used it myself to gain immortality for a character. It guides you through both achievements as well. Its a lot of chance and needing a lot of learning skill. so you may have to have the game "Crash" a few times to get ti. As for downsides of being immortal if your vassal catch on there is a negative opinion modifier but that can be resolved with some carts.

Immortal isn't likely to happen, gotten the event chain in a few ditched runs, only remotely successful one was when I died and was reborn.

If you don't want to type it, then it's gonna be hard. No short cuts.
You'll need to be 26+ at least in a trait (Martial, Diplomacy, etc). Then confirm you have an actual Mystic. You'll also need around 12,000 gold and luck so you don't die killing the snake (If you're going with martial).

I recommend that 26 skill be in learning as it gives you higher chances. If you do the event chain right you don't need that amount of gold a few hundred at most.

So the event wont trigger if i dont have atleast 26 in stats ?

It will. It's just that the lower your stats the lower your chances of succeeding.

No some things in this game are just really rare!... I have never been immortal... and I am fine with that, maybe someday I will be and when i do, it will be satisfying to know its not something that happen's every game!

Or just imprison the mystic and if it was a true mystic, she is also immortal. And you can get immortality from her by devouring her. (Canibal+possessed or lunatic).

Doesn't the mystic only become immortal if you are successful at becoming immortal? if not this sounds like a great idea!

There's a shortcut by using cheats. Otherwise, pure luck plus save scumming.
Dunno if they're changed mystic traits in Holy Fury, but i've never seen Immortal mystic. Few times mystics even died because of age before quest finished xD Anyways, you need event (many characters may die without even starting it), real mystic (check mystic's main stat, depends on it you can say if its a fraud or not and what are chances) and 3 successful dices.
Each councelor summons his own mystic, so different chances and consequences in matter of failure. Some mystics will just "f_ck you, i'm going home", others will hurt you, other others will kill you...

I think it will be revealed after the questline. I have yet to try it. I had a immortal ruler (later being killed by his own son, yaaay) and I turned the son immortal by nomming the in court staying mystic. He also got killed later on...

How can an immortal person die? Or does this follow LOTR elves rules.
